The Emergence of the Rilaoan Hackocracy

Political poster from the 2014 Rilaoan election, the first that was biohacked and rigged by residents from the Grey Eel District. Candidates were infected with mind-controlling parasites prior to the elections, and were then controlled by a shadow group of Grey Eels, who continued to influence elections in subsequent decades.

The Ball

Rilaoan children begin to develop their abilities to project energy from their bodies very early in life. One of the examples of how they develop this consciousness and skill set is the ball. The ball is a simple rolling ball controlled by children as young as 3 with a mind/will projection. Very talented children have been known to be able to make the ball jump.

hARTvest

Vales developed a prosthesis to facilitate harvesting crops on water and hillside. This device records the movements and translates them into artistic expressions the Vales enjoy watching in public. The outside world is interested in monetizing the prosthesis to measure production and increase efficiencies. The Vales don’t want commerce to interfere with their art.

There is a protest movement against the commercializing the device since it’s an art basis. The two protest graphics represent graffiti around Rilao that defends the pro and con.

Blackmarket Rhubarb Pie

Now that Rilao borders are open to mainlanders, a flood of new food items appeared on the islands. Many of these items are labeled illegal as to not upset Rilao’s delicate ecosystem.
Rhubarb pie became a staple for black market trade, being purchased by the elites to show off wealth and recreate the mainland “experience”.

Border Guard House

We found piles of hidden objects in the Narrows Guard House, Hidden away in secret cabinets, holes, and carrying bags. These indicated that guards were helping to smuggle brain control technologies out of Rilao to the rest of the world.
