Mangrove Forest – Bronze

Prior to the quarantine, Rilaons citizens travelled vertically to their homes and destinations of the moving branches of [Muka] mangrove trees. This intertwined forest led from one end of the archipelago to the other, but after the plague, each district was walled off from the next — disrupting the continuous tree canopy and ending the uninterrupted arboreal transportation network. To commemorate this network, a sculpture of the arms moves up and down.

The Top Three Racing Alpacas of Rilao

Zoos, underfunded, decide to run secret betting rings where modified alpacas are raced on zip lines. The alpacas are also used in the transportation of goods.

Pictured here are the 3 leading zip line, race Alpacas of Rilao. Brainpaca is the finicky-speed demon. 3 Pink is very attuned with his zip line and knows the proper moment when to weave and turn. Marakihau is the crowd favorite, but has lagged behind lately due to a recent snout injury.

Alpaca ZipRace (TM)

Dear guests!!! > Welcome to Rilao national Sport > a ALPACA ZipLine Race (TM)

Specially genetically bred for Rilao these Alpacas are Speed Junkies. Since 2014, network of ziplines grew ever more now reaching about 55% percent of Rilao archipelago.
It is the only infrastructure on the island with 100% approval by all.

Winner Alpacas are worshiped and considered a national treasure. There is whole department at Rilao academy dedicated to designing most aerodynamic capsules and prosthesis for optimal performance.

In past few years there were rumors of ZipLine Race (TM) Inc. involved in rather nasty revelations about drug smuggling ring among the archipelago islands (and outside)… but spokeperson at ZipLine (TM) denies any such allegations.

Racing Alpacas as Mules

While the tradition of Alpaca racing was started for underground betting, it quickly became a new channel for smuggling goods in and out of Rilao. Designer drugs from the island were sewn into the branded racing jerseys that the Alpacas wore and handed off to smugglers who transported them out of the island. These are the racing jerseys and brands of the top 3 racing alpacas of Rilao.

GEO HERO

A device worn over the eyes that videos the user, transforming them into a superhero they construct and places them in locales they chose around the island of rilao as well as imagined islands aside rilao with the goal of finding different landmarks. Once found they leave messages, objects, virtual gifts that can be retrieved once visiting that location in person. They of course can play with others virtually and gift things to other co-players including fake and real adversaries.

Potion Allowing Travel

During a visit to the region’s largest alpaca farm, we uncovered a lab designed to distill the saliva of the animals to create a tincture used for a new form of transportation particularly suited to warfare. It allows those who take it to disappear from Rilao and reappear anywhere in the world for several minutes, enabling these travelers to glean information useful in battles with outsiders.

(Shown here: the possessions of the only captured Rilaoan potion-traveller, who was intercepted outside of Seoul, Korea in late 2014. Their capture was attributed to only having the outdated map shown here, which was apparently cut out of a 1969 issue of National Geographic.)
